Intel led policing does work. There have been several major crime patterns that have been solved in the past 2 years since Ryder started CIRRT. But like anything else it has its limitations. The majority of police work can never be replaced by anything but constant and irregular patrol by uniformed RMPs. It is the meat and potatoes of getting police work done. But intel led policing is a good tool to compliment it and it has its purposes. Just as K9, mounted, Narcotics, ESU etc are useful tools but not one of them could replace having marked RMPs patrolling sectors everyday. Yes the nickel bag epidemic is over... Thanks CIRRT!
