A federal jury Thursday awarded $18 million each to two men who spent almost 18 years in prison before they were exonerated in the 1984 murder and rape of a Lynbrook teenager.
"I woke up today on the other side of the wall," said one of the two men, John Restivo, 56, referring to his trial testimony in which he talked of his fright the first time he saw the towering walls of the state prison...
EACH GOT 18 MILLION AND THERE DAUGHTERS GOT A LARGE AWARD.......40 PLUS MILLION DOWN THE DRAIN................

1 Million a year x 18 for each of them? They wouldn't have made 1 Million for their entire lives. These juries are going to be responsible for more municipal bankruptcies.
