Hard dark cookie on the outside, SOFT creamy filling in the middle. When you squeeze the cookie, the middle part oozes and runs. That's my experience. Especially when it's warm in the kitchen.

From the NYPD PBA President in the NY Post
Consequences for a Criminal Cop I can’t adequately describe the revulsion and disgust every honest, hard-working police officer in New York feels for former Deputy Inspector Corey Pegues as he confesses to what is worse than a life of crime to sell a book (“Thug Cop,” Sept. 8).
It’s one thing to admit your mistakes in the hope that some young person might avoid a life of crime and another to revel in your misdeeds without remorse for future profit. Pegues betrayed the trust of his fellow officers by hiding critical information he had about the cold-blooded assassination of Police Officer Eddie Byrne and seems relieved to having gotten away with the deceit.
He may laugh at the fact that he cannot be held responsible for most of the crimes in his past, but I am warning him that he’d better be sure that’s the case because this union will encourage the department to do an extensive and thorough investigation. Furthermore, I pledge to use the full resources of this union to convince the general public to boycott any publishing house that would buy and publish a book by this disgusting and vile man. If Pegues made any friends at the NYPD, I can assure you that he lost them now. He’s a stain on the reputation of a heroic department.

It sounds like Lynch is up for re-election. He usually doesn't get involved in Police matters unless it involves free food.

LOL thats the difference in nassau and the city, the city pba and its delegates do not care about its members at all and most dont want to be bothered.. for the most part nassau does a good job in getting to know and working hard for its membership. ( they all get free dinners) its one of the perks,

I believe Lynch's present term is up in June, 2015, and he wants to keep his job.....so it's no coincidence that the delegates are saying we'll have a decision from PERB in July or August. Anything less than 4's and he's finished, so I can see why its been so slow up to now.
