Chief of Dept Steve Skrynecki is at it again

Chief of Dept Steve Skrynecki was able to get his 30+ year old son in the Nassau police academy, even though he unfortunately has heart problems. Predictable, Skrynecki's son can't run very well, or pass any physical agility tests involving running.

What does Dad (Steve) do? Steve calls the CO of the Nassau Police Academy and demands all running tests in the police academy be scrapped.

It's bad enough that Steve was able to demand the CO of the Applicant Investigation Section pass over a qualified candidate for his son, but now Steve is demanding the CO of the Police Academy also violate his duty by allowing Steve's son to graduate the police academy even though he isn't physically qualified.

My prediction: Steve's son will be in a non-patrol detail within 3 years, and he will win a disability pension within 7 years.

It's embarrassing that Steve is in the NCPD Pipe Band, the only source of his dwindling power.

I believe the current class is pretty much done with the Academy and are out on field training right now. I can see this being exclusive to this class only and will most likely be reinstated for any future classes.

Wow. U are quite the expert as to things that just aren't true. I've had cases with the chiefs son in his former position with DSS and how u describe him is completely alien to the character of that man I've worked with.
As far as ur PT claim. I have several close friends on the PT staff. After reading this post I made a few calls and they said ur claims are a complete and total lie. He passed his PT events well above the necessary standards.
So I take it by ur screen name u are some guy that has a gripe with pipeband members and u just figure if u throw enough sh@t against the wall maybe some will stick.

I'm sure Scott is a fine fellow, as was the man or woman that was passed over to get to him. I got my info from several cops that work in the police academy. Ask them, not Steve.

While I disagree with alot of what the chief has done he is one of the last fair men in the upper brass on this job. You should concentrate your anger at the real bosses who have destroyed this job.
