The pension changes are state wide though does not matter what job you go to. And everywhere now does some medical.

The 12 years to top pay isn't , and the way the salary got structured in the last contract, guys in the future do not top out at the same $$ that guys do now, so it's lower pay. Amazing, when wall st was doing great, no one gave a shvt about police / fire pay & pensions. First thing they go after when the shvt started falling apart........US. Loved the work, loved the guys, glad I'm out.

It is what it is... You Know what you're getting when you take the job... No one is forcing anyone to take it... Either you want it or you don't.

It is what it is... You Know what you're getting when you take the job... No one is forcing anyone to take it... Either you want it or you don't. Although I agree with you, everyone knows what they are signing up for (w the exception of nifa haha) IMO it is a very slippery slope and when you were dividing the job as far as top pay is concerned. Despite all the fringe benefits, holidays, longevity, health ins, it always boils down to the top base pay. And I would just be careful about splitting and dividing the troops like that because you never know when it'll come back to bite you. Specifically when those cops become the voting majority of union. Again. Just my two cents Turninblue
