This program is aimed at people who claim to be mentally ill or incompetent in order to get a monthly check from Social Security. I have a problem with almost everything else the Manchurian Candidate does. I don't have problem with this.

I don't have problem with this. it all depends what the governments definition of disability is, but there are already laws in place to stop these people from getting guns..once they get a foothold it wont stop, next will be if you went bankrupt or dont have a savings account...read the entire article...here is the quote from the law..The language of federal gun laws restricts ownership to people who are unable to manage their own affairs due to "marked subnormal intelligence, or mental illness, incompetency, condition, or disease” – which could potentially affect a large group within Social Security, the LA Times reported. so what does..unable to mange there own affairs mean? what does subnormal intelligence mean? ( that includes 80% of the public walking nassau county) yes mental illness is correct..all the other terms have no definite meaning and can be interpreted any way..so they will ban you from owning guns till you spend a bundle on a lawsuit to prove otherwise... disease..so if you have cancer you cant own a gun.....all this needs to be very well explained in great detail... |

I have leukemia, BUT, I can balance my check book and can wipe my a$$ with either hand.....
Would that define the governments definition as disabled for me?

The Government is giving disability checks to Puerto Ricans who don't speak English. They consider that a disability. This is different. I'll support any Government action that will take guns away from mental defectives. If they could find a way to take guns away from all Muslims and all stupid people, I would support that also.

I feel bad for the feds, who have to keep track of all this bs.
One day, the democraps are in charge and conservatives are the enemy of the state. Then, when conservatives are elected, the liberals will be the enemy of the state.
