This is a photo of the restored 83 Diplomat from the Nassau Police Museum Collection. Does anyone see anything wrong with it?

I'm going to have to stand corrected on this one. Every Diplomat I drove had "Police" on the front fender and "Nassau County" on the rear. Coots produced a picture of 113 that's reversed like the Museum one. It must be a North Shore/South shore thing.

I can see the pictures now Wiz. I remember the 'Police' being on the front fender on most cars. I guess they like to change things around now and then. We used to make fun of the 'Police' on top on the hood. The motorists couldn't see it when you were behind them. We figured maybe it was for pulling over aircraft.

I always thought that "Police" was on the hood so that when you slammed a mutt's face into it, he knew who you were.

I guess some lucky car post is in for a big surprise, 214 maybe? And it is still probably in better shape than most of the RMP's I've driven!

Back to the OP, I have two potentials:
1) The RMP number is 200. Was that a real number? I always thought it would begin with 201, etc.
2) I don't particularly remember the "Herbie the Love Bug" stripes on the roof. Am I correct?
Oh, and what does the winner win?
