Not only do all of them have to drink the Koolaid, they have to take a bath in it.

It's got to be quite a slap in the face for the NYPD Bosses. They got passed over for a country bumpkin Cop? It's nice to see the shoe on the other foot.

Wish her and our brothers on the big job the best of luck. The city has no love for cops.

It looks like Chief Sewell will be a figurehead as P.C. The word is that E. Adams is creating a "Deputy Mayor for Police" position, to be filled by the disgraced former Chief of Department Phillip Banks III. He and Adams go way back on the Job. Who knows how things will go....

She is actually cool and down to earth from all the times I met her. She may be good

Hearing that the new mayor held a news conference with her in front of a mural with Cop killer Joann Chesimard's picture on it...not her fault but not a good start.

I know nothing about Sewell. She was in the Academy (or close to it) when I retired. I have heard a lot of good things about her and I wish her well. I am a realist however and I believe she's in for a rude awakening. The City residents, by and large, are a really stupid and ungrateful bunch who hate Cops and are going to resist any and all improvements she wants to make. She's taken on an impossible job. She'd have a better chance at trying to herd cats or teach dogs to play chess. Good luck! I hope I'm wrong.

What did she do between being a sergeant and getting the 7th?

She's been shvt-canning the substantiated findings by CCRB against MOS stemming from the BLM-Antifa riots of 2020. She's definitely on the side of her troops.

Due to her sudden departure, I would imagine her final words to the mayor were,
"TAKE THIS JOB AND SHOVE IT",
or something similar with more colorful words.
She could probably write a book that would demolish the democrat marxist NYC government.

The street troops will miss her. She was definitely their biggest advocate, and I wouldn't be surprised if she pushed Adams, on the down-low, for the contract the PBA recently got, knowing from personal experience on Nassau that a well-paid police force is one less likely to be corrupt and prone to misconduct. Who knows, maybe when Ryder eventually retires, she'll return to the County. She does not put on airs, and wouldn't consider it a step-down. I wish her well. Unfortunately, the shvt-canning of CCRBs against MOS will be coming to an end, especially if they're white and from the suburbs. Whitey-hating Adams, un-indicted co-conspirator Banks III and that semiliterate, lecherous drunk Pearson will destroy the Job once and for all, making it the same as the jobs in every other black Democrat-controlled city in the country.
