I am an elitist shmuck, that's funny. I have no idea what I said to sound elitist. I was very respectful to everyone here. No one else seems to have a problem with me except you! Anyway, I can tell you are an ignorant fool, so I am done talking to you!

As is evident from today's appeal hearing, we are going to lose appeal and most likely have to fight for our wages in state court. We most likely will not win in state court so our wages can be frozen for the rest of our careers. Who in their right mind would take this job & be stuck at 34k for the rest of their life?

Believe it or not, as much as the job may not be what it was when we signed up, to those who may not have a job, it is still just that. There are some who still want to be cops even though we may not understand it. The truth is it will never again be the job it once was, but it is a job with benefits(for now anyway).

ncpdretired...what we once thought was sacred and couldn't be touched is now being pushed to the limits. It's scary watching not only our federal government try and strip away our rights, but now state and local going after contracts like they're NOTHING. We aren't guaranteed sh*t anymore.

When and if the lawsuit goes to state court and its outcome, will determine how much our fearless local govt will take from us.

"Rumor" has it the C.O. Of applicant investigations (who happens to be a standup guy) was told by Krumpter to write a letter detailing why the Dept is having trouble finding applicants to take the job as well as why over 10% of the current academy class has resigned. Maybe they will pass the letter onto Nifa and the county, like it will do any good. If you take this job now and you remain frozen for however long, don't say a word, shut your mouth, you knew what you were getting into. With all that said, if you do take this job I offer "low" interest loans. Call me 1800-shy-lock.

What Tier will the 2 classes be put? Tier 6 with Tier 2 benefits?

The county will try and hire as many as they can and then threaten to lay them off if the union doesn't agree to concessions. I really don't want to hear it until everyone hired before these classes are made whole.

The only concessions/givebacks anybody should vote for is on new hires only going forward. We've lost so much $$ the last 5 years that it makes absolutely NO sense to give anything back for our steps and raises at this point. Let this BS Nifa crap play out and see what happens as election time nears. F@&k all these politicians. We need to just vote them out PERIOD
