Over 42 percent of respondents said they are Long Island residents recently had a chance to share their views about the way Nassau and Suffolk County police officers are compensated in a News 12 Long Island/Hofstra University poll.
Over 42 percent of respondents said they are paid appropriately in response to the question, “Which of the following best reflects your view concerning the compensation of Long Island police officers?”
Nearly 37 percent said they were paid too much while 8 percent said they were paid too little.
Almost 13 percent were undecided.
