The new proposal is as follows. Top pay guys get 38% pay raise effective day of freeze with retro. To pay for this the 05/07/08 classes will progressively lose one step per year until you match the 2013 class pay scale. However the good news is the 2013 pay scale has been bumped up a generous $1500 to $35500. The newborn are now tier 34 which requires 50 years service or death whichever comes first. Pension contributions of 25% and healthcare contributions of 33%. Top pay guys immediately recieve 14 more vacation days compliments of guys in steps giving up 20 days each. Sick time also Increased 5 days paid for by 10 days of step childrens sick time. Pba dues slashed 97.5% for top pay increased 300% for guys in steps. Pay back days. Effective immediately top pay guys are not to work anymore chart orange paybacks and recieve positive chart orange days totalling 10 days.
, this effectively means they can pick any 10 days they want off and scream chart orange positive day and recieve the day off. Step children must work an extra 13 days to compensate. Hey if u can't kid around what's the sense, after all after the meeting quite a few top pay guys called the step children greedy.

the funny thing is there is no proposal... they had a meeting last night to get more steak..

Why our PBA is not strong as some other PD's. Look at MTA they got something done with very little give backs. Stand for our values and commitments. County signed a deal and they need to honor that commitment. Its a tough time for all of us and many of us are cranky and miserable. We all need to be one and then no one can break us.
