Where is the nifa discussion board? How do we locate it? It is unfortunate that this decision was made. It is understandable that you do not want a forum consumed by nifa talk. I do believe that if mental aided Glassslipperman didn't go on a 35 thread sprint in one day this decision probably would not of been made. Your effort to create and maintain this board is appreciated. However you did create this so that your brothers could have a forum to discuss matters relevant to their lives as patrolman. Nothing has ever been a larger more relevant issue then this monster of a illegal wage freeze. It is a cancer that has infected and is destroying a once great department. It is hard to pay attention to the smaller issues when dealing with such a thing. It is unfortunate because during normal times it's the small things that matter. I hope your decision to dissallow freedom of speech on this board doesn't effect long turnout when the nifa issues are behind us.

inthebusiness I agree 100%. I can not help but wonder if certain people are on here just to sabotage any efforts being made to come to a resolution of this NIFA issue. We need a group effort to tell one big story instead of a bunch of peace meal arguments, infighting and name calling. This NIFA issue is the one and only issue that matters to all of this at this particular moment. It needs all of the attention it is getting.

It's because the people that run this site don't want to hear it. They're retired and don't care about current problems. The only association they have to this job is the direct deposit they get once a month and the "war stories" shared over a monthly breakfast at some diner. Out of sight, out of mind.

When this thing with NIFA is settled where will you be? Will you continue to contribute to this board or will you lose interest? You seem to be fixated on one topic and one topic only. It's my guess that you and many others will just disappear. I understand your frustration and the hardships you're currently enduring but this board was here before the problem arose and I hope it will be here after its settled. When one member posts 35 threads in one day about the same subject something has to be done about it. That's why you were given your own section to Rant about NIFA. I've read the NIFA posts and I will continue to read them. I don't see what the problem is.

I suspect that some of you have bookmarked the General Board. You will not see the NIFA Board unless you bring up our home page www.pdcnrant.proboards.com/ It's under the General Board.

While you're there, take a look at some of the other sub-topics. I'd love to see more photos and videos from active members.

I appreciate the easy link on the general board and understand the point of view of the administrators. Thanks for providing an easy link and a good forum for us to have an open discussion. Although most of my posts have been NIFA/contract related, I have contributed to other discussions as well. I also felt the site was bombarded by an overwhelming amount of short posts suddenly. Thanks to the administrators for figuring out a way to keep it going and still preserve the general rant board as well!!

Amazing...just Amazing....no matter what anyone does someone cries about it.......if you take 2 seconds when you log on to the home page the NIFA board is right there under your nose...and there lies the problem....rather than see the whole picture you crucify and start name calling again....it makes more sense to have a separate area for Nifa stuff since it does take up a large volume of threads..not to push it in the corner so the RETIRED GUYS dont have to deal with it....and yes some retired people have a vested interest in what happens...3 years of retro that affects the pension...and the new guys..3 years of retro worth how much almost or more than $100000.00 for some of you...and stop crying we arent loosing as much....$5000.00 a year outa your pension is a $100000.00 down the road...and you will retire with a full pension..all your money in it...so the bottom line..WE ALL have much to loose...and when its settled the job will never be the same...the years of frustration and name calling will be remembered across all the membership....for more than a few years...

When one member posts 35 threads in one day about the same subject something has to be done about it. Most of it is spam with nonsense quotes and should have been deleted. The few things posted that are actually relevant could have been consolidated to one thread.

While you're there, take a look at some of the other sub-topics. I'd love to see more photos and videos from active members. I agree. Probably everyone working out there is carrying a device capable of taking good photos. Post some pictures of the new Chevy RMP's ( I'm looking for a suitable large size sedan) or the new or old First Pct under construction / demolition. Post pictures of good or bad sights on your post, snow piles, hurricane damage, UFO's or whatever. Just use your heads and don't post anything that gets someone in trouble. We don't want this place becoming a new Facebook.

And by the way, in reference to some of the above statements, I can't speak for every retired guy but some of us are following what the politicians are doing to our once great department. We spent a large part of our lives on The Job. Some of us grew up there and it sickens us to watch this. We may not be frozen or suffer from the stress of working under the current conditions but we have some skin left in the game. They would love to mess with everyone's health insurance, and our pensions and your future pensions are no longer as safe as they once were.
We're with you and are hoping that this nightmare ends soon.

I will always be thankful for this board and it must not be easy to put up with a lot of the BS that goes on here. Thank you admin for providing us with this place for information and venting.
