If you were able to choose the next PC, who would it be? My choice would have to come from within the ranks of our own department. A few good leaders are still within and so many that retired. It's another slap in the face to this once great police department that they keep looking to the outside.

Changed my mind. Flannagan. He'll end the ridiculous, 'No gratuities' policy.

It won't matter because they are going to do what they are told. Someone that knows the ins and outs can use that against us. I know some of you think I'm wrong but let me ask you one question, what boss has brought us to where we are now? BTW my answer would be Kevin Smith.

I liked Capece from what I knew of him. In 7 years mostly on nights, thankfully I have had little dealings with the high level supervisors to really have an educated decision. To me, a cop that had a lot of patrol time before his 1st promotion, a cops cop type of guy, but one that disciplines where it is necessary, that is well spoken, looks professional and gives a commanding positive image of all of us.

OTJ I agree, unfortunately we will be getting a commish from outside the department. If I had a choice Kevin Smith would be the man.

Just to clarify- my answer to your question, who would be a good choice of commissioner, is Kevin Smith. As far as the department being dismantled is solely on one of our owns shoulders.
