longisland.news12.com/news/westbury-man-says-he-was-beat-by-2-nassau-police-officers-last-month-1.7935753WOODBURY - A Westbury man says he was a victim of police brutality, and that it was caught on surveillance video. Kyle Howell's attorneys say that the surveillance video shows two Nassau police officers beating the 20-year-old after a traffic stop last month. They claim Howell's face bones were fractured and his eyesight was threatened. The lawyers also accuse the police officers of lying in court filings. They say the officers charged that Howell assaulted the officers, tampered with physical evidence and resisted arrest. Nassau police say that they are investigating.

In Today's World WHENEVER you are working or enforcing the law in ANY way you have to assume you are being RECORDED... video/audio or both.

I saw the video. The officers did nothing wrong. The bottom line is police work is ugly but it has to be done.

I agree, my statement was just a generalization.

The fact is subject stops are fluid, and the media sitting behind their climate controlled desks have nothing better to do then blow this out of the water because it wasn't "routine looking." Cops did nothing wrong, looks to me like he may have been fidgeting causing them to react. Having this play out with two white cops and a black perp ALWAYS helps the media spin this. The race card is hot these days.

I'd to see the whole video and hear the whole scenario before rendering an opinion. I do find it curious that the start of the video is after the car stop and the doors opened. That leads me to believe of 'editing' at some point.

Yep, lets see this video from the very start, from the stop till the arrest. The way its presented it looks like some one wants to make their own movie of the event

I'm sure this guy was pushing the cops off while he tried to destroy evidence but Its hard to justify knees to the face. You have to be in danger to be that aggressive, not just trying to gain custody. Hopefully there is more that shows they were justified.

Watertight, I hope you don't work next to me. If I need to control somebody and they are not compliant then a knee to the face sounds like a good start.

You think knee to the face to gain custody is justified when you are not in danger? Tell that to a jury and see how it goes. But your right siggy, if that's what you do on the street, i dont want to work near you. I like my job.
Unless a weapon was recovered or the cop on the drivers side has some injuries, the cop on the pass side is in serious trouble. A video only shows so much, hopefully there is more but a jury sees that video, it's an uphill battle.

EVEN in Custody you are in DANGER, ALWAYS keep your Eyes & Ears OPEN!!! I don't know where you get this Nonsense that you must have recovered a weapon or suffered some type of injury to justify your actions in order to physically restrain a bad guy? Are you even a Cop???... If you are your Academy Instructors FAILED you or you WEREN'T paying ANY attention during the physical force application session. AND YES, I SAW THE VIDEO
