The charges range from rioting and resisting arrest to selling alcohol without a license, Nassau County police said of the incident at about 5 a.m. at 5 1st Place. First Precinct Officers on routine patrol observed the disturbance and stopped, according to a news release. When they approached the house and tried to find its owner, Danielle Davenport, 30, of 78 Melrose Ave., Massapequa, confronted them, claimed she was the homeowner and screamed and cursed at them, police said. Then three other women -- Gerina Leftenant, 33, of 17 Fordham Place, Hempstead; Jalise Alford, 21, and Shandlis Utsey, 21, each of 5 1st Place -- charged the officers with closed fists and refused to follow direct orders, police said. Shandlis Utsey "then retrieved two six-inch metal knives from the kitchen and began waving them" at officers, the release said. After a struggle, the officers were able to arrest the women. The homeowner, Kenya Utsey, 39, also was found at an undisclosed location and arrested. Davenport, Leftenant and Alford are charged with second-degree rioting, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, police said. Shandlis Utsey is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree rioting and menacing a police officer. Kenya Utsey is charged with criminal nuisance and selling alcohol without an appropriate license. Each is scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Mistake #1 "observed the disturbance and stopped" There is no upside in trying to stop these things. You're either going to get hurt, sued or both. The correct procedure in Roosevelt is to "observe the disturbance and WAIT until it stops". Get ready for a fun summer.

I will gladly pay the property taxes that make it impossible for my North Shore neighborhood to become "integrated."

If Obama and Holder have their way, that "North Shore neighborhood" is going to be on the Bering Sea.
