If it keeps our men and woman safer overseas, and allows them to keep my family safer here. I hope they buy 10 more. There are plenty of other things less important and more expensive that they cut compromise on. Like the boars head commercial. Compromise elsewhere

It's like parking a Military Airport in your enemy's back yard. We should park a few of these around the world on a regular basis........
Speak softly BUT carry a BIG STICK..........................

I agree to spend the money here instead of paying welfare or illegals with a free ride...

You guys should watch the video on our new rail guns. It uses electromagnets to shoot pretty much anything metal. It's insane The objects seem to blow up before the actual projectile hits it. Makes you warm and fuzzy inside knowing you are on the right end of that gun and our military.

In the words of the great Ralph Kramden:
"A mere bag of shells."

Problem is, aircraft carriers may be approaching the same status as Battleships at the start of WW2. Once they become vulnerable to new weapons, they'll be $13 billion dollar sitting ducks.

I take little credence anything said on a Russian state sponsored news network. These monsters are,in time of war , in the middle of a strike group which include anti submarine craft and submarines as well. We need these carriers to project our air superiority across the globe. Not to mention they are a sight to behold. I love this country!!

But not by the Russians it is the Chinese that we need to worry about when it comes to our Navy. The day they launch at one time several hundred to upwards of a thousand anti ship missiles at once we will be in deep doo doo. They will not be looking to be able to control an area only to deny it to us.
