Shoplifting suspect injures 2 Nassau cops

A shoplifting suspect swinging a walking stick hit a Nassau policeman in the face Friday night in West Hempstead, fracturing the officer's nose, authorities said.
A second officer was injured in the struggle to subdue the suspect, according to police.
Laroy Floyd, 50, of Holly Place in West Hempstead, was arrested on charges including assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing...

The POS only got $5000 cash bail, but OH NO! If he was a DWI, he'd be held without bail.

Bail??? why isn't he in the hospital suffering from multiple fractures??? They teach the cops of today to be too soft. :/

He fell on his walking stick and it became stuck in his rectum. Would hate to have that happen with all of the bad publicity NYPD has with foreign objects ending up in that location. If it went in the other end it could be argued that he tried to eat the evidence.
