Old General Store, Post Office at Jericho Corners - October 17, 1928 - This is where 106/107 and 25 meet today. At the time Jericho Turnpike had a T intersection with Hicksville Road and the two were one single north south road for a hundred or so yards before Jericho continued its way east a few blocks up. Sometime around the 1930's or so the turnpike was realigned to be one contiguous road, the old stretch of Jericho Tpk to the north was renamed Old Jericho Tpk. The entire intersection was converted into a cloverleaf in the 1960's and the store was demolished. Just behind would be the Milleridge Inn.
Mccluskey's, Sunrise Hwy, Bellmore Many a hamburger came out of that back door.
1950 - Gas Station, just north of Milleridge Inn, 1950, destroyed for new intersection construction. Before and After photo.
1958 - Old firehouse and Jericho Inn, looking west across 106/107
1935 - Looking east approaching Little Neck Pwky, Tulip Ave, and train trestle on Jericho Turnpike" This train trestle is gone now. We lived west of this location in Bellerose. My brother worked as the night attendant at that gas station on the corner
