Those Pontiacs were the worst pieces of crap we ever had. I hated mine. I prayed every morning that it would just blow up so that I could get a Mopar.

Wizard, Back In 1958 the county had just about phased out the Pontiac's that were the patrol cars before that time. As I remember they were straight 8's with standard shifts. They came from a Cadillac/Pontiac place in Hempstead where the ambulances came from. I think the place was Brown and Harder in Hempstead. I also remember a "chase" car on the LIE in the mid sixties that was a Pontiac. Best car I ever drove was a 1960 Ford in the Fifth.
