Minn. security guards to take on police tasks Security guards - not police - will patrol the streets of Foley, Minn. St. Paul Pioneer Press FOLEY, Minn. — Security guards — not police — will patrol the streets of Foley. The city council has voted to sign a six-month contract with the private security firm General Security Services. Earlier this year, Foley officials voted to end their contract for police protection with the Benton County sheriff's office. Deputies have been patrolling the city since 2003. Interim City Administrator Sarah Brunn said the security guards will be responsible for ordinance enforcement, but will not be able to investigate crimes or make traffic stops. The security firm is charging the city about $16,000 a month for 24-hour-a-day service. Benton County was charging Foley about $24,000 a month for 17 hours of protection. State aid cuts and tighter budgets are main reasons for the switch. www.policeone.com/police-jobs/articles/4537664-Minn-security-guards-to-take-on-police-tasks/

That will last until the first citizen in the town has some vampires invade his home, rape his wife kids and pets then kills them all. Whereupon the city administrator will lose her job. The police are the thin shell that keeps people safe from the savages out there. That shell is getting thinner and weaker everyday.
Do they honestly think that a $7.00 an hour square badge is going to save them? Cops are not here to enforce zoning regulations. They are here to fight back the apocalypse. enforcing the VTL, ordinances etc. is something we do to fill in the in betweens. When the bean counters in charge forget that, citizens pay with their lives.
