Nassau: Walker's aide in collision with his assigned SUV 1:41 AM By Celeste Hadrick
The white county SUV assigned to Nassau Chief Deputy County Executive Rob Walker was involved in a four-car accident on Stewart Avenue near the south entrance of Roosevelt Field on the Monday evening before Christmas, but Walker wasn’t in the car.
His special assistant, Kristen DiCerbo, of Malta, NY., was at the wheel of the 2008 Chevy Tahoe, which is registered to the county sheriff’s department, according to the police incident report. County officials say the senior staffer was authorized to drive the vehicle and was returning from a county meeting at Eisenhower Park when the accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 19. No tickets were issued or injuries reported. Walker is driving a temporary replacement while minor damage to the SUV is being repaired, officials said.

I'm willing to bet there is more to this...Routine auto accidents are usually not published in the paper.

I guess his "Special Assistant" isn't so SPECIAL.
