Just saw on News 12 that Mangano reassigned NCPD spokesman Kevin Smith. When pressed by reporters for reassigning him, Mangano looked perturbed and brushed off all questions.
I wonder what Kevin did to the Little Dictator to deserve this?

He's gonna put in a "crime is down" mouthpiece that answers to Ed alone.

They will probably civilianize PIO. NYC did it a long time ago, Suffolk did it a few years ago and I would guess Mangano or the new PC figured it will save allot of money. The "crime is down" line comes directly from the PC after twisting the NASSDAT stats. Good luck to Lt Smith. Always a gentleman.

Kevin should take the next (rumored) incentive and then start using his connections in the press to tell it like it is.

Too funny..During the day News12 was was actually airing a reporter chasing down Mangano and asking him why Kevin was let go. Mangano had no response except to look aggravated. For some reason they removed the segment on tonight's news.

unless mangano puts in one of his goombahs from brooklyn maybe i should put in a job application to mangano to be the police mouth piece .i was good at fast talking complainants i could flag anything .the stupid news reporters would be scratching their heads trying to figure out what i told them just like i used to fast talk the stupid captain

There's talk going round Uncle Ed/GOP removed him because Chuckie schummer used the Nasau County police stuff as a backdrop in a press conference. can anyone shed some light on this

Yup. Mangano's hatchet man Nevin was upset. Sounds like Mangano's office is now making personnel moves in the department. Mangano looked like an idiot when news 12 asked him about it Really a sorry state of affairs.

Spoke to Kevin at the funeral yesterday, he seemed truly appreciative of the support that everyone from the job is giving him. It seemed everyone wanted to shake his hand and offer support .I know Kevin a long time, he'll come out of this standing on 2 feet with his head held high.
