Hard to believe but this Saturday will be the Fortieth Anniversary of the swearing in of the largest class in NCPD history.
Jan 14 1972 is a great date in the history of our department.
I would like to say that is has been a great ride!!!! Congratulations to all my classmates.

I delivered ( with the help of Jack Davis the Ambulance driver) a baby boy on one of the short streets with a news paper name, off Meecham Avenue , Elmont in July of '58. You?

I worked Jack Davis and then his son in the fifth. What a great guy.

I delivered ( with the help of Jack Davis the Ambulance driver) a baby boy on one of the short streets with a news paper name, off Meecham Avenue , Elmont in July of '58. You? If its on the west side of Meacham then its got to be either Herald Ave or Sun Ave. The east side has about 20 blocks of Newspaper names and they are all about the same length. Hope this helps to jog your memory.

Thanks Lionsden for the info. my first time in a car (505) 6 months on the job, aided case , check sylibus , street east of Meecham south of Hempstead tpke, child birth, (I'm shvtting my pants !) requested ambulance, Jack arrives and had to hold my hand thru the birth.I really became a COP that day. Delivered two more during my career. Something I'll never forget!!!
