As I sit here looking out the window nice and warm, I think about how nice it is that I don't have to drive in for a midnight, slipping and sliding and avoiding others who are doing the same. I have to thank Jim Murphy, RMP 115, for these pictures. He was laughing the whole time he took them. I used to like to do ice EVOC on the midnights, trying to learn how our new antilock brakes on the 93 Cheyys behaved. Unfortunately for me, the PD broke through the ice of the flooded parking lot at the Bellmore Army Base where I did my tests. ESB had to pull me out of this on a long cable around 0300 hrs. Trying to hide from Jim's camera......embarrassed but at least I was snug and warm in my Mouton and fur collar.....and I gave Jim and the ESB guy a few laughs. ;D Attachments:

Red, not sure if you remember an incident I had similar to yours...During a severe downpour on the mid-nights i went on a report on 3's post in East Meadow. I pulled in next to the curb and the passanger side of 113 went into a washed out area that was previously dug up. I couldn't get the car out no how. I called the SH on channel 10 and they sent out the signal monitor Bill "Fitzy" Fritzgerald to rescue me. Seems he was the only one who knew how to work the winch on 142

Did you get jacked or just get a good chewing out?
