So much for all the "He's a stand-up guy" talk from all the people that knew him from the city. So far he doesn't seem to appreciate or understand the Nassau culture one bit.

It seems he flunked Morale Building 101 in supervisor school - close half the pct's - throw the department under the bus a few times - and exclaim that cops should be fired. I'm sure the rank and file won't let this bother them.

There is a reason he received a $50,000 raise compared to Mulvey on top of his hefty pension. He was hired by Mangano to destroy the job and control through FEAR the NYPD way. That is the only reason....
I heard he has all the Chiefs stand at attention when he enters the room......nuff said.

At his stage in life when you apply for a new job it would probably be smart to determine whether or not your boss is a moron. I guess that speaks volumes of the apply-eeeeeee

Any commissioner would be standing with Mangano at this press conferance. Your fooling yourself if you think one of our own would stand down. His test will be whether or not he supports us when the shvt hits the fan (shootings, accusations, etc). I'm gonna say he failed the test.

Benefit of the doubt is gone. It's a shame he sold his soul and good reputation to a bunch of crooked politicians. That goes for Belisi also.

I don't understand why he would comment about an incident that wasn't even close to being on his watch. If asked by the press, his answer could easily have been "no comment, that incident occurred prior to my appointment to NCPD"......

Well, as a former City boss, he's an expert at second-guessing the people who were at the scene of whatever savagery the press and the "community" are in an uproar about. Perhaps he forgot he's the boss now, and he doesn't answer to that micro-managing maniac Popeye in the City anymore. More likely, he was just a City boss for so long that that's all he knows, to be a douchebag. Sorry lads, out there. I hope all of you, cops, detectives & a majority of the S.O.A. can just slow it all down & make his tenure a short, mediocre one, at best. fvck Mangano for using the PD as a whipping post for Nassau County's fiscal problems. Why doesn't he rail about the un-funded NYS and Federal mandates that the County (and Suffolk) are forced to fund and undertake ? I guess he's afraid of Cuomo-homo-douche & B.H.O.....
