I guess you are congratulating Blakeman because he is a republican. Let us not forget the great republican Ed Mangano who was far worse then the last two democratic county executives Curran and suozzi. Curran was nothing special but definitely not bad towards police

Ed won because people didn’t like Obama. Otherwise Tom would have taken that election. I’d rather have the average republican than democratic in charge. I hope this guy is better. We will see in a few months. Nassau needs to rise taxes and reduce benefits and government programs. Stop so called affordable house programs and other government welfare programs. Do that and people who don’t contribute to society won’t stick around and keep coming out here. Get the books in order, pay back the loan from the state and get rid of NIFA. I had a great time growing up in Nassau, but I don’t want to subject my family to how it has been changing.
