Vinnie was one of the good guys. He was already an Old Timer in the Second Squad when I hit the street in 1973. He was one of the nicest guys I ever met. He had the patience of Job and the wisdom of Solomon. Nothing rattled or upset Vinnie and he always had the time to explain the how and why of solving the problem to a wet behind the ears Rookie Cop or Rookie Detective. Thanks Vin. You were the best. I'll see you on the other side.
