With the election of a new Suffolk County Executive, anyone have any insight as to what that means for Suffolk's Highway Patrol Bureau coming back to the LIE? Has Bellone said anything about it?
I know the County and PBA settled an arbitration case about it, but I thought the gist of the case was only whether or not the CE had the authority to shift the HPB resources elsewhere.
It'd be nice to see them back "where they belong."

As of arbitration the CE HAS the right to place who he sees fit to patrol the LIE, only time will tell.

I thought Levy just cut a deal with the sherriffs leaving it in their hands.

I thought Levy just cut a deal with the sherriffs leaving it in their hands. neg., that was just a ploy by the outgoing douchebag, the money that was deferred by the SCABS is money the SCABS were going to get anyway in 2015, so if the CE said "sayonara" they just get there money, no big deal.
