NYPD east? Central Booking in the City is like our detention, just takes a lot longer to get your prisoner lodged. You take your prisoner there when you are done processing your arrest. I think you are getting that confused with Arrest Processing Officers, who in some of the larger Pcts in the city will process an arrest, so you can go back out on patrol, or go home. Might work in the city, but here we have to sign the court info.

You do not have to sign court info unless the arrest is based on your observation. Otherwise it's based on a sworn statement of victim or witness. Anyone can sign that court info that read the 32b.

I don't think that's right. In the city I didn't have to sign anything as long as the Ada spoke to the victim. Out here I gave seen people sign court infos for other cops observations. Ussually when the cop who observed it got hurt. This will cut down on overtime but it will properly make cops more willing to collar.

Anyway, I'm not worried I have never seen this job do anything to become more efficient. Even when they try it has the opposite effect. Precinct closures Ha Ha, RMS HA HA HA. Need I say more?

How many cops are going to be assigned to HQ? How many cops are going to be required to watch all those prisoners? Will we be allowed to lodge the prisoner prior to paperwork, photos and prints being completed? Just like every other OT/cost saving measure they have instituted, it will probably create unintended OT in other places. Just like when a boss doesn't allow you to do the transport and tells the sigm to get two guys in. On a busy night it can take hours them to find someone and for relief to get there. Sometimes its justquicker to do the transport.

From what I heard they are just expanding the CTS area to allow processing for narcotics.
