So are they going to assign detectives to there or send guys from the third sqd to process the arrests?

Why don't they just assign a DA so the charges can be dismissed before Arraignment and everyone can go home? You know they're going to dismiss everything anyway. Why bother with all of the paperwork?

How many cops are going to be assigned to HQ? How many cops are going to be required to watch all those prisoners? Will we be allowed to lodge the prisoner prior to paperwork, photos and prints being completed? Just like every other OT/cost saving measure they have instituted, it will probably create unintended OT in other places. Just like when a boss doesn't allow you to do the transport and tells the sigm to get two guys in. On a busy night it can take hours them to find someone and for relief to get there. Sometimes its justquicker to do the transport. About 2yrs ago when I saw the blueprints I was told civilians were going to be thick as fleas down there. However like anything that will present it's own set of problems. Mostly I saw it as a get rid of the assisting cop and speed up the paperwork for the arresting cop.

Hopefully they use the same crew who built the new tac house at the range which already has enough structural flaws being designed for a warm weather setting that it can't be utilized here!

You do not have to sign court info unless the arrest is based on your observation. Otherwise it's based on a sworn statement of victim or witness. Anyone can sign that court info that read the 32b. To add to that --- In misdemeanor court information's you cannot have any hearsay contained within. If you get ANY oral statements pre-arrest, that will be used as evidence in the court information, the officer hearing them PERSONALLY must sign the court information. For example: "Upon your deponent interviewing the defendant, the defendant did state, "Yeah I hit the mother f*cker." So a word to the wise... Before you put cuffs on someone do a thorough and complete investigation if you can...

Just goes to show how fuhcked up this job is. In the corporate world whomever was in charge of that debacle would be fired. Just like RMS, the NYS or even better the US AG's office should be investigating what companies were used to fulfill these contracts and what bosses got kickbacks. Chief shows up at range, looks around and says "Wow its been a long time since I've been here...OK lets get started, here's what I want for the new tac-house". Anything wrong with that picture?
