1090 please explain more as I do not know this alleged Dale's son story and I would like to have him explain it when he comes to the precinct to talk. And how did you get whatever this information is?

I believe 1090 is referring to the Tedescio problem....word was that Dale's son was involved in a similar situation. A call was made to the PAPD about it and the PBA board went nuts saying we shouldn't play that way. That is the short version I was told...and I have no problem trying to obtain more info about your enemy, and make no mistake about it, that guy is our enemy.

I have no problem obtaining information against the enemy. The problem was that he just made a blind call to the PAPD hoping they would just rat out there fellow coworker. There was never a rumor of Dale's son doing the same thing as Tedesco. At the end of the day all O'Reilly did was cause cops to receive bigger burns due to the PC's vendetta.

Good job 1090 after several attempts and many posts you finally got someone to bite - don't worry be happy it's not to obvious. However if you speak the truth then congratulations you just ratted him out

All three have my vote.... this is exactly what we need new people on the PBA board, guys that are willing to stand up for the members. All three will do just that. I am not a friend of Kenny Cortes but all the members should know that he just won the biggest grievance ever filed by the PBA for the members of the second precinct. This grievance was filed and promoted by Kenny Cortes and the PBA board DID NOT want to pursue it. Yet Kenny persisted and ultimately won.

It wasn't a blind call, and I know several PA cops who, when asked, just smiled and alluded to other issues that arose out of this "situation". It wasn't the same as tedescio doing it on duty, but there were problems.

So you think Dale's vendetta came from someone making a phonecall to a Port Authority cop trying to dig up dirt? I disagree, it seems to me he is jealous of the careers we have and the money we make. He came and spoke during the Presidential debate at Hofstra and his own words were "I had my own opinions as to the job that was done out here in Nassau and today was the first time I was really impressed with the work that everyone did today". That sounds more to me like a guy who came here with a preconceived notion of the NCPD and it wasnt a good opinion he had of any of us. I dont know the actual numbers but I would be willing to bet he has taken more hours in punishment in 3 years than all of the other Police Commissioners combined so I dont see a problem with someone trying to put a stop to his regime by any means necessary. A good leader respects their men/women.

Dale was a Peter Schmit boy that also disliked Nassau Cops. where are our political endorsement??? are we remaining quiet again till all of our political juice is completely gone?? how about coming out with them after the election and are we endorsing the ones who voted yes to close pct's. it's time for a change......

You know its time for new leadership when dennerberg, supposedly one of our unions "friends" on the legislature seems to be against the deal now. Carver and the rest of the board must go. This deal is never happening.

You guys who are pushing for new blood on the board and those who are pushing for the old board need to realize that contract talks are not as easy to get going a writing stuff on a piece of paper. That being said anyone who votes in new blood at a Time like this is not using common sense. You'll lose any progress that has been made. In addition you new board members who came on to push for the new blood on the board should be aware of the fact that sitting in on arbitration is different from filing a grievance. Sure it's great that people got their owed money but realize that the grievance had to be started by the member who wrote it up... And once it goes it becomes the pba's issue... Not the one trustee or whomever passed it on... A good trustee is the one who gets things done before your name even goes on paper for a 209 or 59. When it comes to contracts Also realized that both the PBA and the county have to make concessions. I'm not saying that the new board would be better than the old but realize that any progress made so far will be lost and that the 7th crew will Have to restart from zero to move forward. Besides the PBA didn't freeze us, the county did. Just putting in my two cents
