5 years here was a boss in the city. Regardless, if the time he has on doesn't really make him more or less qualified. I am sure we all know cops with 20+ years on that have no idea what they are doing on the street or how to word statements.

They all have my vote. I can't afford 4 more years of Jimmy Carter and his givebacks. It's time for a change.

The other two have my vote also I agree we need change. You are just never going to get me to vote for an ex city boss. That's the last thing we need.

I am not for or against this group running.... but 1090... just an fyi.... even tho he was a boss in the city, I think people don't realize that he was a delegate in the SOA in the city...
I understand your feelings against boss'..... but most boss that are delegates(imo) are pretty good guys...
just my 2 cents

On this job yes on that job no. He has been reprogrammed by the powers at be in 1PP and once that happens there is no turning back.

Don't know anything about these guys. But what would they have done differently? They make claims of uniting the membership. Deleraba (i believe unintentionally) divided this job with the one and four percent. When Carver took the helm a lot of people forget he got rid of quarter days. Carver has been working his ass off to rectify this one and four percent debacle. With this new proposed extension I believe if it passes Carver has worked this situation masterfully. He made the best of a shvt sandwich and actually made it palpable. I'm not bad mouthing the other guys at all. I don't know them. But I ask again... What would have they done differently? What were the issues that they disagreed with? You can't make a blanket statement like "no negative campaigning" to avoid criticism. That's a cop out. I want to hear their strategies. Maybe I'm wrong and Carver is a douche.

Yeah you should at least have some type of platform to run on.

On this job yes on that job no. He has been reprogrammed by the powers at be in 1PP and once that happens there is no turning back. So by that logic you would have to assume that ANY cop from the city has been reprogrammed, since all the training (academy, in- service, roll call, and detail training) comes from the crystal palace for the most part, if not state mandated.

Not at all when I was a cop in the city I saw many men that were stand-up guys become a boss and six months later they were shells of their former selves. They would be cracking the whip for numbers and fudging stats before you knew it. A good boss on that job would be considered a major a-hole on this job.

They need to beat feet and start telling us what will make them different. As for the "what would you have done differently?" slogan that seems to be the mantra from the current board, I for one would have liked to see a fight instead of the wait and see approach, the file the lawsuit and make a quiet deal approach. We have been assraped the last 5 years and the response has been lacluster in my opinion. No endorsement in the election, the Joe Belisi fiasco in the Legislature race, only one, count them all, 1 protest rally held by all of the unions that are frozen. Those guys with the inflatable rats have been more visible the last 2 plus years than our current board. Salaries frozen, precincts closed with barely a public response. A commissioner that has spewed his wrath upon the members over his jealousy and disdain for our members by stealing hundreds upon thousands of hours for things that were wrist slaps in the past and the response has been WEAK!!!
