Carver doesn't care about the guys in steps, Plain and Simple. If He truly cared about us, he could have worked out some sort of deal to at least get the guys through steps while continuing to try and get everyone else unfrozen. All he seems to care about is not pissing off the top pay guys. We desperately need a change.

Does O'reilly care about the guys in steps? If he did he could of ran a campaign of stating "getting guys their steps is the priority". But we wouldn't want to piss off the top pay guys. I've said all along that Carver should have somehow gotten guys through their steps. Who is the lesser of two evils? I know Carver is at least trying for deals to be made. I still have not heard one thing O'reilly would do if he was elected.

Wow it must be carver kool-aide posting night on the rant board. About 5-6 Pro Carver posts in a row in a span of a few hours....doesn't look organized a bit.

If it was time for a change......we would run a true 1%er for president. You want someone to lookout for you, he needs to be in the same situation. You don't change leaders in the middle of the battle. Shows weakness.

What shows weakness is the inabilty to get us unfrozen in a three year span..

Opie- not drinking the Kool-aid, just being realistic. We will be dealing with Carver and Mangano for another term so get use to it. The anti-carver guys will go quiet right after the election just like after contract "yes" vote.

If the membership re-elects the same board. The guys that vote for them deserve everything they get or should I say don't get and have no right to complain about anything.
Mangano has played Carver and the membership like puppets over the last two years with all the deals we have, don't have and especially with this last deal that according to Carver fit into outline NIFA gave him and had legislative support. Legislature never even voted on it and NIFA shot it down before they read it. Where was the support Carver?
Mangano, the legislature and NIFA now after the last vote see how desperate the membership is to get salaries and especially step unfrozen they now know they can come back and demand a lot more for that to happen.
Time for all of us stuck in steps to look into filing our own separate lawsuit

Funny thing is in Carvers email he is complaining about George marlin being a tea party conservative who doesn't want the freeze to end. Well what the heck does he think Mangano is? He's just a puppet for the Tea Party, Al Damato, and Joseph Mondello. He's being played. Once the election is over if Mangano wins you're not going to hear the word "deal" for another 4 years.

For those of you afraid of changing leaders mid battle I give you one name Patty Lynch. NYC PBA was in a similar situation, much like Jimmy was Gary's lackey, so was Lou Mattarazo as Phil Carouso's puppet, the union was mired in a long battle attempting to get PERB to oversee negotiations and Lou was being strung along...in came a young and energetic guy with little experience but a willingness to do battle, before long the PERB argument was one and a succession of 5% raises became the norm until they wage became at least livable, so dont fear a change at this time, just make sure the new candidate is up to the task. From what I am hearing he will be and I KNOW Ken Cortes absolutely is ready willing and able, I have witnessesd his work first hand and he absolutely has my vote.

Decisions in elections should be based on results, plain and simple. Carver = no results. His lists of 'accomplishments' in his campaign mailers are an embarrassment. Why would he want to point out specifics of four years of givebacks? I guess thats ALL you can do after having no positive results. THIS GUY HAS TO GO !!
