was just at turnout and two members of the board were there. they said that the leg will 100% be voting for it. then NIFA will have 30 days to decide and these members of the board think that NIFA will not use the entire 30 days to make a decision. so if all that is accurate we should know where we stand rather quickly. From my perspective; Mangano and the leg. support the new contract and sign off before election time. PBA and cops support them in appreciation and they are re-elected. Kaiman, the new yes man, waits til after election in order for Mangano et al to defeat Suozzi as per Cuomo's wishes and hopes. Nifa says deal is too rich and suggests adjustments. Cuomo and Nifa win using the current situation for political gain. They all win except you. Sorry if I sound like I don't trust them. IMO Nifa has decided. They can sign off within days of the leg approval. If they do not, the fish stinks. GL2UA

A comment was made by Dave Denenberg during the finance Committee on adopting next years budget, he stated along the lines the PBA and other deals are not a good idea because there is no money in the 2014 budget to pay for it he tried to get in a debate over it but they brushed him off until the full legislative public hearings, one which is October 9th. Looks like he made it a point to throw out there his disinterest in the union agreements. I have been watching the meeting since 1pm online. additional, Krumpter spoke in regards to transferring 12 million from operating to HQ fund for termination pay and HQ OT increase, due to complex investigations and high profile cases this year, also stated within 2 weeks of the PBA deal being approved or denied they have 150 people ready to pull the trigger on, states we have about 2100 cops and need to be at around 2300 and further states he needs them to be ready by next summer and projects 45 million dollar savings over the next 8 years because of the current deal on the table. RMS was brought up from the LEG about driving up OT, Dennenberg asked Krumpter if it is generating increased OT, said we are looking at a new system because after 2015 Microsoft will no longer support the system. Krumpter says they have 150 people ready to go into the academy?? Last month it was only 49 according to a Sgt at applicant. Where would they put 150? The academy staff themselves said they can't handle even 100 at this time..not enough staff to split classes. And out of the 150, how many would actuallt take the job??? Last round it was only 37 out of 66 and a few have been lost since. Seems these people are now resorting outright lying....

In terms of instructors, there are probably enough around to get pulled off patrol [or other assignments] and pinch in for the lesser topics **if they had too//are ordered to**

If this deal doesnt go through, they can forget about the 150 or so they claim to have ready to hire. No one will take the job. Who knows if they will even hire anyone if it doesn't go through??........I hope the guys OTJ continue to rake in the OT
