I'm just excited to see what this "unicorn check" nybuild1 was talking about. I know the county has been living in fantasy land for so long, it should be interesting. That was a sweetener thrown in by Mangano. No licencing fees on any unicorns you currently own.

We can all say what we want, if Nifa and the Legislature are not on board what difference does it make. Lets say its ok with Nifa does anyone know if it has to pass leg with a majority or super majority. Fingers crossed again, but ill remain the red headed step child the day before Christmas until I see it in my check.

And if none of this takes place till January 1st what's to prevent mangano from backstabbing us again after the election or SUOZZI from saying that wasn't my deal I don't have to honor it?

True about a so called deal not coming to completion. However if we strike a deal now and Suozzi wins, i dont think he'd renege on any deal we make. Remember we made a deal with him and continued to " give back" long after he was gone. He knows this so i dont think he'd touch our deal.... If we make one. Who knows WTF will happen.... Its wait and see. We just better get back pay/ retro

Voting no. At this point would rather go with the law suit. Unless I am reading it wrong it looks like we will eventually get retro but not the fully amount. Not a fan of the non-raise parts either.

This morning, the PBA Board of Governors voted unanimously in favor of a Memorandum of Agreement to unfreeze wages and steps and to extend our contract. We will be conducting informational meetings on Monday and Tuesday, September 9th, and 10th, at 1600 and 2000 hours to discuss the deal and answer questions. We will advise of the location of the meetings as soon as it has been determined. We are putting together informational booklets detailing the agreement and they will be distributed to the membership for review.
You can view and download the MOA from the members side of the PBA Website. Your log in information for the new site is the same as it was for the old one. You can find the MOA in both the spotlight of the members side and in the News section under President's Messages.

VOTE NO! This Deal Sucks! gave back way to much for things that were already owed to us. I believe the members are smart enough to see this is not a good thing for us.

First retro check for all the guys in the steps is going to be nothing. We lost 1 percent. We have to wait 15 months for any real retro. Once again the guys in the steps are getting screwed. We lost the most $$, and have to wait the longest to get it.
Im voting no.

Watertight is right... The retro should be from April to April when they froze us, Not April to December. Guys in steps are getting screwed again and have to wait another extra year to see that retro.

Can someone correct me If I am reading this incorrectly? Guys who just missed out at top pay or the class that is suppose to goto top pay in january, Top pay this coming January for everybody should be 125,285? But Now its not 125 until July? So In January I goto the 121k base but the 125 in July? Then thats not being put where we are suppose to.

Btw its in the county's best interest to wait as long as possible to put us where we are supposed to be. Every week means more $ is deferred years down the line. Do you think they will be in a rush to move us up?

Giving up an MOA day is gonna be painful as well. People take that for granted now, but taking time off and flexibility like we've known is nothing to sneer at. Lose one now, could lose the other one further down the line...I know i'll be laughed at but, stuff like that is another thing that makes our job great.
