Giving up an MOA day is gonna be painful as well. People take that for granted now, but taking time off and flexibility like we've known is nothing to sneer at. Lose one now, could lose the other one further down the line...I know i'll be laughed at but, stuff like that is another thing that makes our job great.
Don't know how to quote, but you re right. I could live with giving up one of these points but not all of them. PBA can not gaurentee us that we will not be frozen again. The lawsuit is the best bet. Besides what happens if two years when the county has no money?

Let the Lawsuit Ride !!!!!!!!!!! Too many "what ifs" with the lawsuit. What if it goes to the state? It'll take another few years. What if it stays federal and we win? In 2015 now were negotiating raises along with medical benefits and other givebacks. I'm not loving this deal...but i'm definitely not hating it either.

It all looks like it may have some promise, but when it goes before NIFA, they are going to ask one question, "fine, whose checkbook is covering this?", and remember, you can't bond raises. So the county will have no answer except thier usual creative accounting, which NIFA has seen before.....I think we will be waiting for the appeal decision...

Guys in steps first retro check will be much lower than top pay guys first retro which is completely not right. Again guys in steps getting sold out and have to wait another year to get it.

Apparently Nifa has not even seen the deal yet. For shvts and giggles though. Can anyone clarify if guys in the 07 class will hit top pay in 2014? The way it reads and the way it looks like we are not hitting top pay until July or 2015.

I believe everyone who should goto top pay or be at top pay will goto 121 and then the 125 in July.

That new pay scale looks suspicious if it applies to us

2007 class was suppose to goto top pay 01/01/14. Now they goto top pay 07/01/14. No raises on 01/01/14. Everyone gets the next step on 07/01/14. Retro for the 04/01/11 percent raise will be paid on or before 01/01/14. The county will be saving 6 months of our next raise and paying us in July for the next 2 years.

I don't think that's right, the agreement states you will put to where you should be at if the freeze didn't occur If you are in steps.

I have read the agreement. look at appendix "a"- hired prior to implementation. Now go to the members section, open up the 2013-2015 salary charts. they are using the chart on the right side, not the left. they added a step!

Looks like they added a step. .. weird. HIRED PRIOR TO IMPLEMENTATION chart. Though Section 4 A/B make no reference to those hired PRIOR to implementation.
This may be a mistake.
