PBA office parking lot is jammed packed right now. Apparently there is an emergency board of governors meeting tomorrow.

It feels like Deja vu and that we've been down this road before. I am not getting my hopes up. There is always something whether it be Nifa, The budget review board that will prevent this from happening.

I don't get it, I thought we had a deal before Wexler made his ruling and NIFA said no. Now there is a deal. We are still waiting for the appeal ruling. I guess Mangano thinks that NIFA will change their mind now. I think this is his way of looking like the hero to the county because he isn't going to be forced to pay us, but settled with us. Sounds very strange.

I will believe it when I see my pay stub. I have heard this before and I am still frozen.

Good luck as well.
Any deal now would at least give you all some closure. However, it is my opinion it will be short of what you want, expect and deserve.
If you are happy, then the voters won't be. With election day 2 months away I'm suspect.
Keep the faith.

the details I heard are not sounding good. 11,12,13 no raises...we pick up the 11 raise in 14 and so on...waiting for more, but this is a bad start.

That's exactly what Buffalo PD received when they were unfrozen by their Control Board. All steps and raises were restored going forward. No retro.

Yeah i'll wait till i see it to give an opinion.
But one stipulation for me would be no retro would equal an auto no vote for me

We are supposed to hear the details today. No retro is a no vote for everyone. There has to be retro to get it passed and Carver knows that. Is there anyway they find a way to avoid a vote? I just hope that the job ensures every single member gets through steps and the guys at top are compensated also.

Agreed totally here. No backpay/retro is an automatic "no" in my opinion. Its nice to finally have a deal in place but at this point theres a court decision thats due any day now and i have a feeling both county and PBA have said to hold off on making it public because of "talks". Im a 1%er and i will vote no unless i get my money owed to me. I'd take my chances with the appeal. County has to hire real soon and they need new cadets on a new pay scale. Thats a must.... Therefore i feel "WE" are in the drivers seat...... Its backpay or bust!!!
