Speaking from experience over 35 years from participating in slowdowns, super enforcement, and now doing proposed pickets (never did) it would be a disaster. The public could care less about job actions and their affects. Have you been reading the comments in Newsday after the negative articles. They, the public, think we are overpaid and think it's great raises are frozen. It would be be a public relations nightmare. We are now living in an anti union national sentiment. Best course of action in my meaningless opinion, let the PBA do it's work. I know it's painful beyond believe. But knee jerk stuff will make it worse. Maybe we should deploy " THE TRUCK OF TRUTH " All kidding aside while I'm not crazy about pickets - They would need to be well targeted - we do need to do something. Many talk the talk but fail to show-up - it's the nature of the beast. That said maybe and I repeat just maybe this freeze has gone on long enough to get folks of their backsides and motivated enough to join in, so the time could be ripe for action. There should more talk on this issue. BTW those who attended last nights meeting prepared and well versed - Job well done! Keep it up. Power To The People !

They'll do their regular agenda and they'll talk about how they are still negotiating but can't talk about specifics because it changes every day. And they'll be someone who asks why don't we go after mangano and nifa and they'll get told that "we still have to deal with these people" And someone will stand up and ask a question prefaced with exactly how much money he is owed And someone will ask another question and reference every top pay guy making 175K and how it's not fair and we should negotiate steps and not raises Rinse and repeat Lol. Crystal ball or Magic magic mirror? Lol; I was wrong about the regular agenda though, they did suspend that. One I didn't list, but i should have because I was thinking it at the time that someone would speak and talk about all the short roll call disappearing. Lol, there's always one. I would have been right.

So I got word that Jimmy is 100% opposed to picketing at homes of these asshcles?? This is exactly why nothing is getting done!!! Jimmy is SOFT. Does that cross the line? Well so does being frozen for 3 years with no end in sight!!! If you continue to play nice then these people will see that as weak...... Which in fact this union IS, thx jimmy!! Could not disagree anymore. You can not expect anyone to sit down and negotiate with if the day before you are outside the guys home where his wife and kids sleep. Would you or I sit at that table under those conditions? Absolutely not. I do not believe we should allow ourselves to be victimized either. That is not the course of action though.

Are you kidding me. You are worried about picketing at some ones house because it may make their families uncomfortable. They are taking money out of our pockets, food, shelter and many other comforts away from our wives and kids and you are worried how their families will feel. Whose side are you on? You sound like a blind Carver Loyalist. Some one needs to take the gloves off make their families feel a little uncomfortable and then and only then with they come to the table and negotiated in good faith. The negotiating or whatever you want to call it is BS right now. Carver is going through the motions to satisfy the membership and the county is pretending to negotiate to look good for the lawsuit. The membership is getting made fools of and you are worried how the negotiators feel. You are as just a soft as this board who has got nothing done in over three years.

Every other UNION pickets, Lets put on some pressure. This is how you get things done. If we picketed Kaimans house of course he will get pissed off. But if we continue to do it he has to give in to get rid of us. They violated our contracts and basically can care less about our families, so now we need to step up and treat them the same way. Sorry if I upset his wife but my wife is upset when we cant make the mortgage and NIFA guys don't care.

Jimmy wants something done by February 1st. After that I say we picket, we can definitely get enough 1%ers to form our own picket. Im starting to give up on our union. Its been 3 years, the only pain the board knows is when they make less then 220,000, Im sick of getting licked by Mangano, Nifa and especially our union

Knock-Knock, UWUA Calling
A group of UWUA Local 102 Branch 180 Members and their families traveled to Akron, OH two days before Christmas to show the FirstEnergy corporate office and FirstEnergy CEO Tony Alexander who they put on the street. Many members of the community shared their support for UWUA and neighbors of Mr. Alexander also shared their support for the locked out workers.

I'm pretty sure at the meeting Jimmy said he would like to get something done by the end of the month.

Eltrabajogrande Thanks for the info. Sad part is we have had plenty of dates and never once a hard date. Actually Jimmy said at a meeting last year a date and then the gloves were coming off. Well gloves are still on, and Im still frozen. Time to get Proactive instead of reactive.
